Most beginners watch advanced tutorials, try the skill, and get injured. Then they think calisthenics is not for them. The problem is not the skill. The problem is the order. Master these four first: 1. Crow pose - balance and weight on your hands 2. Pull over - control on the bar, prepares the muscle-up 3. Dragon flag - full-body tension, prepares the front lever 4. Bent-arm planche - pushing strength, prepares the planche Twelve pull-ups and twenty-five push-ups is a good base. But a base is not a skill. These four build the bridge. Which one do you want first?

14 years of consistent training. Endless fails. And I’m still here.

Bent arm press to handstand looks impossible until you fix these 3 mistakes. Going too deep. Rushing the press. Locking your legs at 45 degrees. Fix the position first. Then the press starts to make sense. Comment “PRESS” for fully personalized coaching.

5 tests every man should pass. How many out of 5? 1. 10 pull-ups 2. 1 pistol squat each leg 3. 25 push-ups 4. 30s hollow hold 5. 60s dead hang Save this and test yourself this week.

You don’t have bad genetics. You have a good excuse. Too light. Too short. Weight in the wrong place. There’s always a new reason it doesn’t count. Meanwhile the guy you’re making excuses about is still training. Stop explaining. Start working.

14 years ago I started on a rusty bar in a Ukrainian village. I had no idea it would take me here

Planche for beginners, start here. Most people jump straight to tuck planche and wonder why their wrists hurt and nothing progresses. Wrong order. First the band warm-up. Then the lean. Then the press work. Save this workout and run it 2–3x per week. Looking for fully personalized coaching? Comment «BEGINNER» and I’ll send you more details.

Can you skip advanced tuck planche and go straight to straddle? Yes and no. It depends on your final goal. If you want the full planche, advanced tuck is not optional. It builds the same engagement and the same posterior pelvic tilt you need in the full hold. Skip it, and the full planche will never come. Straddle is a different game. Different engagement for your legs, your abs, your lower back. I know guys who never got a clean advanced tuck, went straight to straddle with a resistance band, and unlocked it. Two goals. Two roads. Choose before you train.

Can you do it?

2012: I could never have imagined that calisthenics would bring me to where I am today. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey.

Full beginner muscle-up workout. Follow the order. Warm-up: 1. Scapular pull-up: 2×8 2. High pull-up: 2×3 Main part: 1. Swing from the box: 2×5 2. Feet-assisted muscle-up: 4×3-5 3. Swing + high pull-up: 2×3 Every workout, less weight on your feet. Until there’s nothing left. This is how I’ve taken students from zero to their first clean muscle-up.

I improved my muscle-up without training the muscle-up. For months, my focus was weighted pull-ups. 80% of my one-rep max. 3–5 reps. Strength work only. But the key was not the weight. It was the intent. Every rep generate maximum force from the dead hang. No slow engagement. Explosive to the top. Then someone asked to see my muscle-up. First try no-dip muscle-up.

The muscle-up is not just a pull. It’s a trajectory. Most people yank their elbows over the bar. That’s why they fail. Your goal: shoulders and chest over the bar, elbows close to your body. You move like a wave - slightly forward, then slightly back out of the bar, then tilt over while bringing the bar under your chest. At the top, you just push. One small change. Big difference.

Stuck at 4-5 handstand push-ups? This one tip took me from 20 to 48. Now I’m chasing the world record. Hands slightly wider. Stay vertical. And from the bottom explode. Fast up, fast down. The bottom position is where balance is easy. Use it. Slow reps burn your energy fighting for centimeters. Explosive reps give you numbers. 12+ years of calisthenics. This is what actually works. Let me know in the comments if I should share more secret tips. 👇

Tuck to Straddle PLANCHE in 6 months. At 41. Abdulrahman spent years bodybuilding. Then he got tired of the gym and moved to calisthenics. He wanted to prove one thing to himself: age is not the excuse. Age should not stop your progress. But this didn’t happen with random workouts. Behind this result is a system. We analyzed his level, his weak points, his recovery and built the plan around him. Adjusted week by week. If you want to follow the same system, comment “BEAST” and I’ll reach out to you personally with the details to see if I can help you.
